#HelloMyNameIs Craig. I'm a newly registered nurse working in Infectious Diseases. I completed my BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies (Adult) with a First Class Honours in July 2020, receiving the Ross Hall Prize for Academic Achievement and Excellence upon graduation. In September 2020, I commenced a Master of Public Health at Glasgow Caledonian University.
Together with my good friend, and fellow newly registered nurse, Clare Manley, I host a podcast, “Retaining the Passion: Journeys Through Nursing”.
As a student nurse, I held various student leadership positions both within my university and the Royal College of Nursing (RCN). I was a Scottish representative on the RCN Students’ Committee from 2018-2019 and Chair in 2019. I am now a steering committee member of the RCN Nurses in Management and Leadership Forum and curator of RCN Newly Qualified Nurses. I am a passionate believer in equality, diversity, inclusion and campaigning for social justice. I have an interest in sexual and public health and campaigning for LGBT+ health equity. I was honoured to win the Student Nursing Times Student Nurse of the Year: Adult 2019.
